It is every ladies fantasy to find a poet who can encase her so perfectly in writing.
To feel so worthy of being placed in words so all may see her for all of eternity.
I know at least for me this will never be, and this is okay with me.
For in my heart of hearts I know I am not worthy of such arts.
Words flow but they hardly come and go.
I have never been one to sit and stay so the lines of a page for me are a cage and would only bring dismay.
Perhaps this is why I will never be placed into a grave…
Sing my soul into a song so I may dance with the leaves in a cool eve’s breeze for all to hear throughout the years.
With just one look I was hooked
Each word that dripped from your pen made me crave more again and again
Every line was divine and I wish it had been mine
But every story has an end
Just as you lured me in you sent me on my way in a daze
Only when I closed the book did I feel the missing pieces in me
I knew I shouldn’t but I couldn’t miss just one more look…
The sky is set ablaze by the suns furious rage at the coming of the night.
Still, the dragons fly through the clouds coming in and out of sight
Flying over you and me and yet there is only one wonder I would rather see.
Love is never set in stone until it is
Then you’re on your own all alone
So we carve our names into a tree
where our love will always show
others then may know
of a love that grows
beautifully through you and me
Love is a train ride for fools
Rose-colored wool covers their eye’s
Paying attention to only how it begins
Never minding the end
Wreckage filled with sad goodbyes
Only the wounded and the wise know it is a ride worth the pain to ride again and again
Layer by layer I slowly undress.
Revealing all my dark crevices, hoping I look my best.
He sits upon the bed appearing perplexed.
As the last piece of my armor falls away I cannot help but say,
“Don’t you like what you see? My body is all I have to give it is the best of me…”
Shaking I see his eyes never leave mine even as he takes off his coat and covers me completely.
“I love what I see as your eyes look back at me. But I want something truly divine. I want time, time to make music with your heartbeat, and time to swim in the depths of your beautiful mind.”
