Asteroid Morning Muse 1/22/2018

Amandia Lawrence (1)

You shot across the sky leaving pain masked as beauty in your wake.

Little did they know all you do is take.

Only as you hit the ground with a flop.

Did they realize just what you were not.

A shooting star to grant their every wish.

But a rock leaving behind a scar on their wrist.

Consuming them in agony instead of pure bliss.

A fly away day dreamer happily grounded by a child on each foot and a wonderful husband who always has my back. So I write my daydreams for now until our children develop wings of their own.
